About Leilani Obana

Leilani sparked her interest in Costumes when she was five-years-old, when her grandmothers taught her to sew. Soon she was making costumes inspired by her favorite books and movies, and sewing clothing inspired by the designers from Project Runway. She was a Stagecraft student her Sophomore Year and has fallen in love with the craft ever since. She has since been enrolled in Theatrical Production for two years, where she has had the opportunity to Costume Design 4 times, and design other areas 6 times (primarily Publicity and Marketing). From experimenting with time period to silhouette to construction, she has learned so much from her peers, teachers, mentors, and co-designers.
